Where Australia's best scenic flights actually are
The big four for international visitors are the Great Barrier Reef (out of Cairns or the Whitsundays), Uluru and the Red Centre (out of Yulara or Alice Springs), the Sydney Harbour skyline, and the Twelve Apostles (out of Melbourne or Warrnambool). Lesser-known but spectacular: the Kimberley by floatplane out of Broome, the Tasmanian wilderness from Hobart or Strahan, the McKenzie Ranges south of Adelaide, and the Bungle Bungles from Kununurra.
